You may need to enlarge this to see the lens. The arrow points to the implanted collamer lens. The large structure to the right of that is the natural lens of the eye. Notice the good clearance between the lenses.

CORNEA SCARS FROM LASIK SURGERY
Sometimes surgeons, in an effort to please patients, can be overly aggressive with doing LASIK on patients with extreme prescriptions, in whom LASIK is contraindicated. This patient has LASIK more than 10 years ago.
