EYELASH STUCK IN MEIBOMIAN GLAND

This older patient complained of irritation in the right eye for several months.  Slit lamp examination revealed a mucous-covered eye lash protruding from one of the meibomian gland openings.  Fluorescein staining revealed punctate staning on the cornea corresponding with the lash.

POSTERIOR SYNECHIA

Posterior synechia is when the iris sticks to the lens of the eye.  This can be caused by inflammation in the eye, called uveitis, and it can persist after resolution of the inflammation.
