Ingrowing eyelashes are known as trichiasis. When the eyelashes repeatedly rub on the cornea, it leads to infection as well as scarring and problems with vision.
It's painful, makes your eyes all red ,itchy and watery until the eyelashes hitting the cornea are removed.
The treatment option for trichiasis is epillation, electrolysis and cryoabalation of the eye lashes. The eye lashes grow back every 4-8 weeks.
