Cortical spoking cataracts are whitish wedge shaped opacities which start from periphery to the center of the lens. Its seen in the part of lens surrounding the nucleus. Its know the way it is due to the spoke like pattern.
People experience the glare due to the intefernce of the opacity in the cortex with the light coming into the eye. People might experience double vision in one eye. This is called monocular diplopia. When the opacity is located in the area of visual axis it can lead to diplopia. The person sees two instead of one.
